Assess relevant diagnostic modalities such as electrocardiography and echocardiography to confirm pericardial inflammation and exclude alternative causes of pericardial effusion.
Evaluate the risks and benefits of various management strategies, including intensified dialysis, anti-inflammatory therapies, and pericardiocentesis.
Implement timely diagnostic protocols for uremic pericarditis that integrate clinical findings with echocardiographic and electrocardiographic assessments to guide decision-making in patients with end-stage renal disease.
Communicate interprofessional team strategies for improving care coordination and communication to advance care and outcomes in patients with uremic pericarditis.
